Navigating the Styles Platform
There is no way for you to fail the Styles assessment because you are the most qualified expert on yourself.
However, it can be tempting to answer questions based on how you’d like to respond, rather than your true reactions.
If you try to answer questions the ‘right’ way, you could invalidate your results, making them less useful for your personal development.
Styles is not a personality test, it is an indicator of your personal, biological response to pressure, whether that pressure is a terse email from your manager or a true life-or-death situation.
No, your Style is based on your innate biological responses to stress. The goal with Styles is to increase awareness so we can respond above our biological instincts and respond to pressure mindfully.
As self-awareness increases, you may relate to your Style, and other Styles differently but your biological automatic responses remain the same.
The Styles Report provides personalized insights into your natural behavior and performance under pressure. Your personalized report will provide guidance about the best ways to excel and thrive in the game of business, even under pressure, so you can lead more effectively and perform at the highest level.
Styles assesses your biologically programmed response to pressure with a short quiz. In the assessment, you’ll be asked several questions putting you in different hypothetical situations, each offering a choice between just two Styles.
The goal is to achieve a more authentic answer set by limiting patterned thinking, which can occur if each question offers four answer options corresponding to the four Styles.
As a result, some questions may feel strange because your Style was not in the answer set. That’s OK—the purpose of the dual-answer questions is to help you answer from a perspective of ‘who I really am’ rather than ‘what I want to be.’
There are 20 core questions, with 20 subsequent tiebreaker questions that come up only in the event of a tie related to your primary Style.
The tiebreaker answers are disregarded when calculating your raw score, leaving you with a 20-point score distributed across all four Styles.
If you are purchasing a Styles Report for yourself, no one else will beable to see your results.
If your employer has purchased your Styles Report, they will decide who can access your results. Before you take the Styles Quiz, you will receive information about access and privacy.
An equal score across all four styles shows
